Combine styrofoam, pipe cleaners, seashells, and creativity; add guidance from Suzanne Pereira, Education coordinator of the Key West Art and Historical Society, and Phyllis Pope, Glynn Archer Librarian, and in a short time you have Mario Sanchez, Papa Hemingway, and a cast of characters ready to hit the stage. Thanks to sponsorship from the Florida Keys Community Foundation & Marian Stevens Diversity Grant, students at Glynn Archer have finished crafting their puppet creations and will perform the second in a series of plays exploring ethnic and cultural diversity in Key West. Parents and friends will want to mark their calendars for opening (and closing) night, Friday, April 29, 2005 at 6 p.m. Performance will be held at the Glynn Archer Elementary School library. The student puppeteers are: Adam Diaz, Larry Ramirez, Stephanie Caceres, Kristian Charik, Katelyn Garcia, Elliot Monson, Cayley Yongue, Ashley Youngue, Erin Riley, Olivia Priester, Connor Cabot, Anissa Taylor, Saika Viard.
