To celebrate International Museum Day, the Key West Art & Historical Society will offer half-price admissions to the Custom House Museum, East Martello Museum, and the Key West Lighthouse on May 18th. This year, the International Council of Museums is inviting museums all over the world to celebrate “Museums and Young People,” the theme chosen to raise awareness of the impact of young people’s participation in redefining the missions of heritage institutions in the 21st century and how museums can contribute to shaping tomorrow’s society through interaction with young people. KWAHS is also offering special memberships during May. “We are excited to be offering fifteen month memberships for the price of an annual membership,” said Gerri Sidoti, KWAHS Programs Director. “We want to encourage families to visit all three of our museums and partake of all the programs that we have to offer children.
