Steven M. Pratt Memorial Fund

Established by the Key West Art & Historical Society in support of ongoing museum internships for young people

Steven Morris Pratt was born in 1944 in Fort Wayne, IN. He worked as a writer/editor for the Chicago Tribune from 1967 to 1997. Upon his retirement he moved to Key West and began working with the Society. Steve volunteered for numerous charitable organizations in Key West and wrote feature articles for many local publications. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The Society was extremely lucky to have had a Director of Press Relations as talented and hard-working as Steve Pratt. Steve joined the staff of the Society in 1998 and worked tirelessly to promote the Society and its three museums, exhibitions, programs and events. Steve enjoyed working with the Society's interns and encouraged them in their pursuit of a career in museum administration. Therefore, it is befitting that the Society has created this fund in his honor.
