Water Skier is going to Disney World

Stanley Papio’s found object sculpture, The Water-Skier, has left Key West to travel to the Annual Epcot International Flower & Garden Show. The Sculpture Garden will be visited by millions of guests during the Festival which runs from April 21 – June 11, 2006. This is one of the largest events held at the Walt Disney World Resort and museums from all over Florida compete for the honor of having their works exhibited in this festival. The Water Skier is made of an ironing board, Cadillac hub caps, lawn mover pieces and other found objects collected by Stanley Papio. This is the second time a Papio sculpture from the KWAHS collection was selected for a trip to Walt Disney World.
