frank whitaker was my great grandfather. his daughter, mary elizabeth married lewis otto, mayor of key west. their daughter, elizabeth maria, was born in key west in 1909. i am elizabeth's only child. i was born in st. pete in 1930.
what do you have on whitaker's involvement in the construction of fort jefferson - and his or his father's involvement in the retention of dr. mudd at fort jefferson. i have some information here but it is very sketchy.
